That is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It dominates since ages as one of the most beautiful cities. It has beautiful historical monuments. Sarajevo starts its urban development since XV century. At that time Isabeg Isahkovic builds great number of buildings and according to the castle he built this city will be given name "Saraj-ovasi", which means "the castle in the field".

Bašćaršija

Old part of the town. The word "baš-čaršija" means "main street". It is known by famous characters of the past- streets with old ancient skills, fountains, mosques and churches.

Vjećnica

It is built in last century at the end of the area Bašćaršija at the triangle part of the land. It is designed by Aleksandar Wittek who started building it in 1892.year

Begova mosque

That is the most important Islamic building in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is built by Persian Adžem Esir in 1530-1531 year according to the order of Husref beg. It is recognized according to Clock tower which dominates in the street and makes its middle and greatest complex.

Gazi husref beg  bezistan

It is built in 1555 year, after the death of Gazi Husref beg. Depth is around 109 meters, and its width is 19 meters with 52 small shops. It serves today as trade center..

Morića han

It represents typical type of an old han (restaurant) from the Turkish period. There are restaurants in it which offer all Bosnian traditional meals.

Cathedral - Catholic temple

The Project is done by Josip Vancaš combining elements of romantic and gothic making syntheses. This object is special than the others.

That is natural park with many sources, lakes and small islands. There is 3 km long avenue as atractive walking area from tourist village ilidža to the Source of Bosnia.
